This year’s Fate/Grand Order Fes was scheduled to take place at the Tokyo Dome on August 10, 2020. It was expected to be a special one as part of the popular smartphone game’s 5th anniversary. However, the organizers decided to cancel the event in an effort to prevent the further spread of COVID-19. The decision was made after considering the priority and safety of all guests, performers, and staff.

The organizers also noted that the government reopening guidelines would have limited the event’s capacity by 50%. However, since 90% of the tickets have already been sold, it was decided that it would be far too difficult to follow the guidelines and guarantee the safety of everyone involved.

Those who’ve already purchased tickets for the Fate/Grand Order Fes 2020 in Tokyo Dome ~5th Anniversary~ can receive refunds. More information is available over at the official website.

Fate/Grand Order is available to play on iOS and Android. In case you missed it, the global version of the game recently kicked off the ‘Legend of the Imperial Capital Grail – Far East Demonic Front 1945-‘  event which will be available until June 16, 2020.
