Fate/Grand Order Heian-kyo returns the Masters of Chaldea to the Heian period of Japanese history to investigate an unusual Singularity. Heian-kyo is an old name for the city of Kyoto, which served as Japan’s capital for almost a thousand years. The Heian period was the time of legendary figures like Minamoto no Raikou, Sakata Kintoki, and Watanabe no Tsuna. The story also serves as a follow-up of sorts to the Shimousa Pseudo-Singularity from the FGO Epic of Remnant storyline.
Players who complete the Heian-kyo Singularity will unlock a new costume for Sakata Kintoki’s 5-Star Berserker form. The costume will change his appearance and voice lines.
Heian-kyo will also see Fate/Grand Order get some new Servants on its playable roster. Ashiya Douman will join the game as a 5-Star Alter Ego Servant. He was a major antagonist known as the Caster of Limbo, and opposed players through Shimousa and several Lostbelts. Alongside Sakata Kintoki, Watanabe no Tsuna was one of the “Four Heavenly Kings” under Minamoto no Raikou. He arrives on the same banner as a 4-Star Saber.
