Fate/strange Fake Teaser Introduces Beautiful Assassin

The first character trailer for Fate/strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn- is out and it’s focusing on Assassin. The song that plays over the trailer is Sawano Hiroyuki’s “FAKEit,” which is the theme song for the OVA. Like other members of the Order of Assassins, she wears a hooded cloak, but she doesn’t have the skull mask that other characters from the Order wears.

Lynn voices Assassin and Tatsumaru Tachibana voices her Master, Jester Karture. Lynn has previously appeared as Miorine Rembran in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury and Azura in Fire Emblem Fates. Tachibana’s previous roles include the Male Protagonist in THe Caligula Effect 2 and Jin Mori in The God of High School.

Fate/strange Fake, which Ryogo Narita of Baccano fame wrote, centers on a fake Grail War in the United States. Because it’s not the real deal, there are a lot of things that went wrong in it. For one thing, the Saber class is missing. The Servants are also not figures that would have made a mark on history significant enough for them to appear as summonable familiars in a normal Grail War.

Fate/strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn- will air on July 2, 2023.
