Square Enix announced it will hold a Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis live stream, its fourth major one, which will go over the FFVII mobile game’s second anniversary. It will appear on YouTube in Japanese at 3am PT/7am ET on September 5, 2025. The English social media account didn’t offer an update on when we might see a translated version of it or its announcements yet.
Both the YouTube description and Japanese social media announcement offered some idea of what to expect. Kasumi Ashizawa will appear as the MC. She doesn’t play any characters in the game. (At least, not yet.) Tetsuya Nomura will appear in some form. Producer Shoichi Ichikawa will be present too.
Here’s the placeholder for that stream:
While we don’t have any hint about what could be in the Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis second anniversary, it is possible this could be when we get a Before Crisis FFVII adaptation announcement. That was a mobile game that only appeared in Japan and followed the Turks like Tseng, Reno, Rude, Cissnei, and Elena’s older sister before the events of Crisis Core. When this compilation game was first announced, Square Enix noted it would eventually include that storyline in addition to ones about FFVII, Crisis Core, and The First Soldier.
FFVII Ever Crisis is available for PCs and mobile devices, and the second anniversary live stream will air on YouTube at 3am PT/7am ET on September 5, 2025.
