Final Fantasy XI Director and Producer Yoji Fujito announced the November 2026 FFXI Version Update will feature a new Alter Egos Trust magic upgrade system called Trust Ascension that will include new Celestite equipment. It will debut on November 10, 2026 alongside regular updates to things like the Ambuscade, Escutcheon, and Records of Eminence.
In the announcement, Fujito mainly focused on the FFXI Celestite equipment for Trust Ascension and Alter Ego characters. This is equipped to a character, and the screenshot showed a level number tied to a Celestite (Defense) option. These adjust stats and attributes. Accuracy, Attack, and Defense options were shown there. These will be sold via Vendor NPCs. It will also be further shown off on “Freshly Picked Vana’diel Episode 73” on YouTube. That might even offer an opportunity to see it in action.
We’ve seen quite a few updates to FFXI in 2026. There was a Limbus update and server replacements were mentioned. Square Enix also updated the free trial so there’s no time limit and we can get to level 75 if we test the MMORPG out.
Final Fantasy XI is available on PCs and the FFXI Trust Ascension system and Celestite equipment arrive alongside the November 10, 2026 Version Update.
