FFXIV Artist Releasing Debut Game Tasomachi on PC

Playism and developer Nocras revealed Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight will come to PC via Steam. The announcement came during the Game Dev Direct on March 13, 2021. The title is a 3D platformer styled after Far-East culture, developed by a background artist on Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight will launch on PC via Steam in Spring 2021. Described as a relaxed 3D platformer, players will explore the world, collect items, and traverse platforming sections in Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight. Players will take control of Yukumo, whose airship breaks down and crash lands in a mysterious town where she will have to hunt for resources. Yukumo will collect items to repair and upgrade her ship, then fly through the skies and explore the world. Check out screenshots and a trailer for the title below.

Keen fans will recognize the art direction in this title bears resemblance to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The reason for this is the developer of Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight provided 2D art and production art for the Nintendo title. Additionally, developer Nocras was a background artist on Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, provided concept art for Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and worked on the field map design for Pokemon Sword and Shield. Published by Playism, this will be Nocras’s debut, independent game. Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight will release in Spring 2021 on PC via Steam. The title will support Japanese, English, and Chinese text.
