From a glance alone, the Slash Fox weapon looks like a regular Monster Hunter 3G switch axe, but it’s actually imbued with the power of Japan’s gaming magazine giant – Famitsu. Why a fox? Famitsu’s mascot is a fox.

 

Players can get the Slash Fox as a reward for completing one of Monster Hunter 3G’s downloadable quests. The game also has a Famitsu guild card with Necky the Fox decked out in armor.

 

Monster Hunter 3G comes out in Japan on December 10.
