Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition Free Demo

To celebrate the release of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition, a free demo will be available to download. This free demo will allow players to play the first three dungeons of the game with up to four friends in online play. The demo for the upcoming remaster has been titled Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Lite. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Lite will be available to download and try on August 27, 2020. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

In addition to being able to play online with friends, those who have the Lite version of Crystal Chronicles will be able to play with those that have purchased the full game. Like the full game, the Lite version will also allow for cross-platform play. You won’t need to worry about what system you decide to download the demo on if you’re looking to play with friends on other platforms. Additionally, the save data from the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Lite version can be carried over to the full product if you decide to purchase the full game.

However, another perk that comes with the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition free demo is that if the user that is hosting the game that you are participating in has purchased the entire product, you will be able to play through all thirteen dungeons with them. That seems like a pretty generous addition for a free demo.

Additionally, Square Enix has released the final Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition trailer, which you can watch below.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and both Android and Apple iOS devices in Japan and North America on August 27, 2020.
