Barret in Battle

Barret’s gun arm makes him an ideal long-ranged fighter. He fires a volley from his machine gun with the press of the square button. You can also hold it down for an extended salvo.

The triangle button is for his “Overcharge” attack. It’s more powerful than his regular shots and fills his ATB gauge. Keep in mind that it takes a while to recharge this attack. You can speed up the reload by pressing triangle.

Barret’s Battle Abilities

When Barret fills his ATB gauge, he can use one of his special abilities. Check out a couple of them below:

Focused Shot: This uses up all available ATB for a powerful attack. In addition to heavy damage, it also fills up the enemy’s stagger gauge. When that fills up, they’ll be susceptible to more damage.
