Square Enix released the Episode 1 of “Inside Final Fantasy VII Remake” that gives us a look inside its development.

In this video series, Square Enix aims to put together interviews with the game’s creators. This includes artists and developers for Final Fantasy VII Remake, with an exclusive look at some of the secrets behind the creation of the anticipated title.
Episode one is an introduction to the development of Final Fantasy VII Remake. It features the following key developers:
- Yoshinori Kitase (Producer)
- Tetsuya Nomura (Director & Concept Design)
- Kazushige Nojima (Story & Scenario)
- Naoki Hamaguchi (Co-Director – Game Design / Programming)
- Motomu Toriyama (Co-Director – Scenario Design)
The video starts out with producer Yoshinori Kitase who talks returning to Final Fantasy VII and starting the Remake project back in 2012. This was during the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy. After Kitase thought about what Final Fantasy games he could make in the time he has left, he decided to start on a remake of Final Fantasy VII Remake. From there, he first reached out to the producer of the original game Shinji Hashimoto and character designer Tetsuya Nomura.
Final Fantasy VII Remake will release for the PlayStation 4 on April 10, 2020. A demo is now available on the PlayStation Store.
