Square Enix updated the release date for Final Fantasy XIV Evercold at the Japanese FFXIV Fan Festival and confirmed it will launch in February 2027. This comes after initial statements suggested we might see the add-on arrive in January 2027. Early access starts on February 19, 2027 for subscribers who get one of the collector’s editions. Everyone can start playing on February 23, 2027. Pre-orders open on November 4, 2026, according to the official site. We also now know the second new job is the Zephyr.
The Zephyr will be, as promised, a DPS to accompany the already revealed Bastion tank. They’re from Ilsabard. This will be a ranged unit that relies on a crossbow. However, it will also have a bird as a familiar to help with attacks. A new trailer went over what it will be capable of.
A Final Fantasy XIV Evercold full trailer appeared at the Tokyo FFXIV Fan Fest to accompany the release date reveal.
As for the Final Fantasy XIV Evercold Collector’s Edition options, you can get a digital FFXIV copy of physical one. The former is $64.99 and comes with the Crystal Skyltborg Shield for a Bastion, the Entreat Crystal emote, and a Valhallar Odin mount inspired by FFXIII. The latter is $319.99 and includes those three digital items, an Ethos metal keychain, a Kottr mini plush keychain, a Reaper figure, and a Tapestry of the Fourth.
