Square Enix recently held its latest Letter from the Producer for Final Fantasy XIV where we got to see more of what’s coming in Patch 5.2.

    • Board a ship at specified times to enjoy fishing on the high seas.

    • After meeting certain conditions, passengers may discover a spectral current and the chance for a big haul.

  • Skysteel Tools
    • Primary tools that can be upgraded over the course of multiple patches.
    • Begins with a quest in the Brume.
    • Craft or gather specified items to enhance these tools.
    • Enlist the aid of the Skysteel Manufactory.
  • New Quest Series for Upgradeable Equipment – Save the Queen: Blades of Gunnhildr
    • A quest series for upgradeable equipment.
    • Playing through the quests available in Patch 5.25, players will receive the base weapon.
    • Join the Resistance and free Bozja from the rule of Legatus Noah van Gabranth of the IVth Imperial Legion.
    • Players must first complete the Return to Ivalice quest series.
  • Miscellaneous Updates
    • Allagan Tomestones of Allegory will be added.
    • Additional New Game+ chapters.
    • Rank increase for Free Companies.
    • New courses in Leap of Faith.
    • Fellowships can now be viewed in the Companion App.
    • Umbrellas will be added.

Lastly, dates for Final Fantasy Fan Festival 2020-21:

  • North America ( San Diego, CA) – November 6-7, 2020
  • Japan (Nagoya, Japan) – December 19-20, 2020
  • Europe (London, UK) – February 20-21, 2021
