Patch 2.2 for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be released later this month, and will be titled “Through the Maelstrom,” Square Enix announced this morning. The patch will include additions to the game’s main scenario, as well as new side story quests, dungeons and other features, which are outlined here.

Among the additions is a new raid event, titled “Second Binding Coil of Bahamut,” which Square Enix say is the highest level of difficulty available in the game.

A trailer for the patch can be viewed above. Patch 2.2 for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be available on March 27th.
