Final Fantasy XIV Version 2.0 Is Now Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

The upcoming Final Fantasy XIV Version 2.0, which will overhaul Square Enix’s latest MMO, has a new name, the publisher announced today—Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. You can watch a new trailer for the game below:

“Since announcing our plans for the future of the title last October, we have been working tirelessly to include all of the elements that we have promised in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn,” says producer, Naoki Yoshida.

 

“This new title not only becomes a symbol of a completely new Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, but also marks the beginning of a new stage as the latest title in the Final Fantasy series. I hope you’re looking forward to it!”

 

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is still scheduled for release on PC and PlayStation 3. Square Enix have not yet committed to a firm release date. You can access the game’s new website for more information here.
