Square Enix shared one final FFVII Ever Crisis trailer in honor the game shutting down at 11pm PT on October 6, 2026/2am ET on October 7, 2026. It’s a compilation video filled with moments from The First Soldier, Crisis Core, and original game’s storylines. However, it doesn’t reference other spin-offs that showed up as events or later in the entry’s lifespan like Dirge of Cerberus or Before Crisis. There is also a final piece of art that shows FFVII characters in some of the unique Gear costumes that appeared over the years.
This is essentially a “thank you for playing” final FFVII Ever Crisis trailer from Square Enix. It begins by showing some clips from The First Soldier storyline, before cutting to the art of Matt, Glenn, young Sephiroth, and Lucia. We then see more of those prequel game scenes and Crisis Core clips before the young Angeal and Zack art shows up. The rest of the video is pretty much dedicated to the original Final Fantasy VII and then looks at the art for the characters from that game.
You can see the full video below from YouTube.
As for the FFVII Gear costumes cited in that final piece of art, I attempted to pin down which ones showed up in the image. It seems like the following showed up. (I’m most uncertain about Zack’s, given the angle, but I am fairly certain it is his Guardian Style Gear.)
- Aerith: Bahamut Robe
- Angeal: Honorable Training Garb
- Barret: Electroarmor
- Cait Sith: Cool Cat’s Jacket
- Cid: Astronaut
- Cloud: Murasame Battle Garb
- Glenn: Doom Dodger
- Lucia: Shinra Ceremonial Uniform
- Matt: Aidman’s White Coat
- Red XIII: Pirate Navigator
- Sephiroth (Young): Edged Wings Training Garb
- Tifa: Festival Blue Daffodil Attire
- Vincent: Stray Dog
- Yuffie: Nanaki Mantle
- Zack: Guardian Style
Here’s another look at that art, so you can compare. From left to right, we see Cid, Cloud, Barret, Angeal, Zack, Aerith Red XIII, Tifa, Matt, Glenn, Sephiroth, Lucia, Yuffie, Cait Sith, and Vincent.

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis was available on the PC and mobile devices, and there is no offline option available.
