Fire Emblem Engage Characters Relationship Chart Has Personality

Nintendo opened up the official website for Fire Emblem: Engage, along with a relationship chart of all the original characters. The chart also shows the political climate that Alear will be navigating. Elyos will have four countries – Brodia, Firene, Elusia, Solm – and the holy land Lythos. There is also another faction, the Four Hounds, that seek to revive the Fell Dragon.

The full chart is here:
Each arrow has a little quote describing how the characters think about each other. For example, the arrow from Celine to Alfred has Celine praising him for his training. The arrow from Alfred to Celine is a response to that, as he thanks Celine for it. According to the relationship chart, Brodia, Firene, and Solm are in an alliance. Elusia and Brodia are enemies, which naturally also pits Elusia against Firene and Solm. Elusia also appears to be in cahoots with the Four Hounds.

Because Alear is the Divine Dragon, quite a few characters treat them with respect. Framme, Clan, and Celine in particular seem to treat Alear like a celebrity. Alear is grateful to Veyle (not in any nation) for saving them. Not everyone views Alear in a positive light, though. Ivy and Hortensia of Elusia are two characters who will have an antagonistic relationship with Alear in Fire Emblem Engage. They also have some of the 12 Rings. Alear wants to get the Rings back, since they promised their mother. Ivy and Hortensia will be able to summon Emblem Heroes with the Rings, which will make them powerful foes.

Fire Emblem Engage will come out on January 20, 2023 for the Nintendo Switch. It is available for pre-order from the eShop.
