As previously reported, Dragon Quest VIII for the Nintendo 3DS has new story portions, and the July issue of V Jump magazine has shared a few details on this front. (Thanks, Anime News Network)
The new scenarios will focus on the jester Dhoulmagus, and the childhood of the game’s protagonist. Dhoulmagus initially serves as the antagonist of Dragon Quest VIII. Also part of the game are a female thief named Gelda, and Morrie from Dragon Quest: Monster Battle Road.
Dragon Quest VIII will be released on August 27th in Japan. Square Enix have not yet announced a Western release.
