First Look At Grasshopper Manufacture’s Next Digital Game, Black Knight Sword

In addition to Sine Mora, Grasshopper Manufacture have another digital download game in development in collaboration with Hungary-based Digital Reality. Black Knight Sword, an Xbox Live Arcade and PSN game, is a 16-bit-inspired side-scroller.

You can watch a recorded version of the game’s announcement at Gamescom, taken by Gamer365, at this link. Black Knight Sword is an odd twist of the cliche. You play as the Black Knight on a fairy tale quest to defeat the Evil White Princess.

Black Knight Sword is designed to look like a puppet theatre show. Development is being handled internally at Grasshopper Manufacture, but Digital Reality are influencing the game’s European aesthetic. The game will be released on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network next year.
