The trend of doomed retail 3DS games moving to the eShop continues! Previous participants in this category included Order Up!! and Planet Crashers 3D. Both those games are now being joined by an action-platformer titled Fractured Soul.

Actually, Fractured Soul is a dual-screen action-platformer. You switch between the two screens—meant to represent two different dimensions—to dodge bullets and avoid enemies. The story has you playing as an amnesiac protagonist with a mysterious past, who’s now trapped on a space station.

Fractured Soul has There are five zones to play through, and developer, Endgame Studios, have added online rankings for speedruns. The game will be released on September 13th for $11.99 via the Nintendo eShop.

As mentioned above, like both Order Up!! and Planet Crashers 3D before it, Fractured Soul was originally meant to be published at retail by Ignition Entertainment. The interesting part is, there’s a fourth 3DS game that’s going from Ignition retail to eShop, too—ATV Wild Ride 3D, a racer developed by Renegade Kid. That’s due out in Q4 this year.
