Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection is available, and the price is definitely right on the first storefront it has appeared on. That is because there is a temporary Epic Games Store exclusivity arrangement for the compilation. Until June 18, 2020, people with accounts can claim a free Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection copy from that storefront. It is yours to keep forever, so long as you call dibs on a copy.

Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection is notable, as it is a complete collection of classic installments worked on by Digital Eclipse. That’s the same company that put together compilations like SNK 40th Anniversary Collection, Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, The Disney Afternoon Collection, and the original Mega Man Legacy Collection. People get Samurai Shodown, Samurai Shodown II, Samurai Shodown III, Samurai Shodown IV: Amakusa’s Revenge, Samurai Shodown V, and Samurai Shodown V Special. The best part is, this marks the debut of Samurai Shodown V Perfect, which has never been released before.

Here’s a trailer:

While you are claiming the free copy, there is actually a second game people can grab at Epic Games Store. ARK: Survival Evolved is also free until June 18, 2020.

Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection is now available for PCs via the Epic Games Store. It will come to Steam on June 18, 2020. The Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 versions will follow on July 28, 2020. The one console version Limited Edition packs the game, art book, and images into an actual NeoGeo game box. But, if you want a free Samurai Shodown NeoGeo Collection copy, make sure you log into the Epic Games Store by June 18, 2020.
