Freedom Wars Is Coming To The West In 2014

Freedom Wars, Sony’s next attempt the hunting-action genre, is currently in development for the PlayStation Vita in Japan. This morning, however, Sony revealed that the game will also be released in the west. You can watch an announcement trailer for it below.

Sony list the following features for Freedom Wars:

 

  • Co-operative online combat with up to 8 players.
  • Intense blend of action, shooter, and strategy gameplay created in collaboration between studios Shift and Dimps.
  • Select the city you represent and help your city rise in the global ranks as you battle users from other cities and countries.
  • Customize your fighter’s appearance, class and weapons.

 

Freedom Wars is in development at Shift, the studio that works on God Eater, which is Bandai Namco’s own series of hunting-action titles. It will be available in North America this year. Sony haven’t announced a timeframe for Europe yet.
