Some of you might remember Frobot from a post we did on it back in September. No? Maybe that trailer above will help jog your memory…although, I couldn’t possibly imagine ever forgetting it.

Frobot developer, Fugazo, sent an update on the game out today. Frobot is headed to WiiWare on December 20th in North America and sometime in 2011 in Europe for 1,000 Wii points. Now, there’s that little matter of what exactly the game is about…

Here’s the deal. While Frobot prefers to make love and not war, he’s forced to put his pacifism aside when his five girlfriends get botnapped. The game has a story mode (The Big Payback), some sort of challenge arena where you earn weapons like the Robo Hustle dash and the Jivestalker disco ball, and some sort of an upgrade mode, titled Superfreak.

Aside from “singleplaya,” there’s also a “multiplaya” mode, where you can battle it out locally with friends. Beating singleplayer levels in record time in a time trial mode will unlock more multiplayer maps.

Luckily for Fugazo, they’ve managed to negotiate releasing a free demo version of Frobot on WiiWare with Nintendo, so in case you’re interested but wary, you can give it a run when it hits the Wii Shop Channel.
