In 2011, Shin’en Multimedia released a futuristic racing game on WiiWare, titled Fast: Racing League. The game was inspired by titles such as Wipeout and F-Zero, with a gameplay mechanic of its own—the ability to transform your vehicle between positive and negative phases to match sections of the track and take advantage of them.

This morning, Shin’en announced that a new Fast game is in development, this one for the Wii U eShop. Titled Fast Racing Neo, the game is scheduled for release in 2014. No further details have been shared at this time.
