As expected from the Genshin Impact 2.2 livestream, miHoYo announced the release date for the update. Though, we also had some idea of when it is due to the Kokomi banner ending on October 12, 2021. On October 13, 2021, the 2.2 update will be applied to Genshin Impact.
The presentation also went over a few things people can expect for the next month or so in Genshin Impact. Both of the 2.2 banners will be reruns. First, Childe will come back. Then the Hu Tao banner will return and bring the new four-star Thoma with it.
A Serenitea Pot update is also on the way after the Genshin Impact 2.2 release date. Inazuma region items and styles will finally be available there. However, to get the new realm layout people will have to earn Sacred Sakura affinity.
Some other elements will join the game in 2.2 as well. For example, there will be the last Inazuma area added. People will be able to visit and explore Tsurumi Island. Labyrinth Warriors and Tuned to the World’s Sounds events are coming too.
The Genshin Impact 2.2 update release date is October 13, 2021. Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and Android and Apple iOS devices. It will also come to the Nintendo Switch.
