A new Genshin Impact event is about to take place, and Contending Tides will run alongside Invitation of Windblume for a while. Essentially, miHoYo is going to give people daily challenges that will task you with taking on missions at different difficulty levels for rewards starting on April 2, 2021.
Here’s how things will work. If someone reached Adventure Rank 20, then they can head to Dadaupa Gorge to take on a daily Challenge at the Meaty Arena. The mission there will have “up to three completion criteria” and “three difficulty levels.” If you can complete the objectives and survive, you’ll get certain items. An exact list of rewards wasn’t offered, but the announcement mentioned Primogems will be among them.
Typically, the normal sort of Challenges in-game involve different kinds of Time Trials. When someone triggers one of these, they’ll have to fight a certain amount of enemies while meeting conditions, hit all barrels shown to make them explode, or make it from one spot to another before time runs out.
Genshin Impact is available for the PlayStation 4, PC, and mobile devices. The PlayStation 5 version will appear in Spring 2021. A Nintendo Switch version is in development. The Genshin Impact Contending Tides event will run April 2-12, 2021.
