HoYoVerse will hold its next Genshin Impact Special Program stream for the Luna VII update this week, going over everything we’ll see in the update on May 8, 2026. It will take place at 4am PT/7am ET/1pm CET. As usual, everything will be on Twitch and YouTube as it happens, with an archive and additional trailers on the YouTube channel after. While the company hasn’t confirmed the date yet, the new version is expected to arrive on May 20, 2026.

Placeholders aren’t live yet, but we do have an idea of what to expect. The Archon Quests will continue and close out the Nod-Krai storyline. This will also lead into the upcoming Snezhnaya region storyline, which is expected after the Luna patch series ends. We do know the Hexenzirkel angel Nicole Reeyn, Knights of Favonius member Lohen, and Prune will appear in Luna VII.

In the meantime, a refresher sort of video appeared on the Genshin Impact channel ahead of the stream that made it easier to see one of the cinematic scenes online. It featured Aino, Ineffa, Jahoda defending some townspeople against enemies. After dealing with that, we see Beidou arrive outside Nod-Krai with her ship and past. We then see a defense against an assault with fireworks, which everyone across Teyvat can see. A number of familiar faces from all regions are shown enjoying them.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, the Luna VII Special Program stream will air at 4am PT/7am ET/1pm CET on May 8, 2026, and the new update is expected to appear on May 20, 2026.
