We now know everything to expect from the Genshin Impact Luna VIII update, which includes the known appearance of Sandrone and rerun of Columbina and reveals of a new Frost Moon location. Everything arrives on July 1, 2026. There are also three new “Marionette,” “TeaPartyTime,” and “TotheMoon” Primogem codes for free items that can be used on June 18, 2026.
The update begins with two five-star Genshin Impact banners that involve the new Cryo unit Sandrone and returning Cryo unit Citlali. The second part of the update will feature two five-star rerun banners, which are Columbina and Raiden Shogun. The costumes teased in the Luna VIII art for Citlali and Charlotte are on the way, with the former being a paid Whispers of Stars and Smoke look and the latter a Hurlock Variations outfit that will be tied to the new Sunny Summer Fontinalia event.

There’s a dedicated trailer for the new Genshin Impact events. In addition to the Fontaine event where it seems we can earn Charlotte and her new costume, there will be Dance Dance Easy-Breezy Disco, Final Long-Range Sightlines, and the return of the recurring Ley Line Overflow.

Finally, there is yet another Snezhnaya teaser. That’s interesting in that it not only offers looks at gameplay for the region and hints about the story regarding the Traveller and Paimon, but also potentially teases the Tsaritsa. Anastasya Feodorovna Snezhnaya can be heard, and we learned her English voice actress is Lara Korba.
Genshin Impact is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices, and the Luna VIII update arrives on July 1, 2026.
