With Pokémon GO’s popularity having reached a fever pitch since its release, T-Mobile has announced a special offering for its customers who play the app. Starting today, July 19th, as part of T-Mobile Tuesday, Pokémon GO players will be able to get free data for a whole year. In addition to the free data, the special offer from T-Mobile also contains the following extras:
- Free Lyft rides up to $15 to help you get to a PokéStop or Gym
- Free Wendy’s Frosty desserts
- 50% off select accessories, including portable power packs and chargers at T-Mobile stores
However, the offer is not automatically applied to all T-Mobile customers and must be activated in order to obtain the benefits, as a representative from T-Mobile recently told GameInformer:
“This deal is not automatically applied to all T-Mobile customers – they must claim the deal via the T-Mobile Tuesdays app in order to get the data. In order to avoid confusion, we want to be explicitly clear that people need to claim the offer versus having it automatically applied to their account.”
Pokémon GO is available for iOS and Android devices.
