We knew the new The Ghost in the Shell anime would launch in July 2026, but now we know it will be streaming on Amazon Prime. The company announced it will be the exclusive home in 240 places. There’s also a new trailer that again highlights what to expect from Major Motoko Kusanagi’s new adventures.

Here’s the latest trailer for the new Ghost in the Shell anime. It begins by establishing the cyberpunk nature and current state of the world before showing the Major, her team, and some situations they’ll face. We also hear the ending theme “Blue” by Millennium Parade with Daniel Caesar and Saya Gray.

There are multiple Ghost in the Shell series and movies streaming on Amazon, though in most cases they require you to buy, rent, or have access to Crunchyroll or Howdy to access them. The ones specifically available to buy or rent digitally are Ghost in the Shell 2.0, Ghost in the Shell: Individual 11, Ghost in the Shell: The Laughing Man, and Ghost in The Shell: Solid State Society. The Scarlett Johansson live-action film based on the series is also available there. 

We can watch the new The Ghost in the Shell anime adaptation streaming on Amazon worldwide starting on July 7, 2026. The manga is available worldwide via Kodansha.
