Ghost in the Shell is set to see a new anime project in 2013, according to Monthly Young Magazine (via: ANN). The new anime is titled Ghost in the Shell: Arise.

Ghost in the Shell: Arise will be directed by Kazuchika Kise, who was involved as animation director with the Blood anime series, the Neon Genesis Evangelion movies, and more. The script is being penned by Tow Ubukata (Le Chevalier d’Eon, Fafner).

While Ghost in the Shell: Rise is a new project, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex isn’t quite dead either. As previously reported, Nexon are creating an online PC game based on Ghost in the Shell: SAC, which will use elements from both seasons of the anime series, as well as the Solid State Society movie.
