NCSOFT, the South Korean publisher behind Guild Wars and Aion, has recently invested $1.8 million in a newly-founded mobile game developer called BiNAREE.

BiNAREE is a Korean startup that aims to independently launch a game in the U.S. and European markets next year. The game is set in a zombie apocalypse, where players will need to defend themselves and their shelters from zombies and other humans. The goal of the game is to combine the free-to-play gameplay inspired by Eastern developers and Western-style story-driven gameplay.

“There are so many cool contents with zombie themes, like The Walking Dead, Left 4 Dead, The Last of Us, and Plants vs. Zombies, but only a few are based on the free-to-play mobile platform,” said BiNAREE CEO Kyungheon Kim. “Our content will represent zombies for mobile platforms.”

BiNAREE is located in Seoul, South Korea. They’re currently hiring for a number of positions, including Studio Manager and Unity3D Programmer.
