May is one of the series’ regular playable characters, present since the first-ever Guilty Gear title. She is well-known for her cute and bright personality. This video series newly introduced Robo-May, a robotic copy of May. The robot is powered by the Hyper-Eco Hercules Engine, which is also used for another existing robot character, Robo-Ky. Satomi Koorogi, May’s original Japanese voice actress, voices both characters in this video.

The first episode, published today, explained the Magic energy. It replaced electronic devices after the Dawn of Revival event in 1999 in the Guilty Gear universe banned its usage. Most people in the game’s universe can apply magic for various purposes, from phone-like communications to unleashing elements during battles. However, the amount of magic an ordinary person can use is limited to prevent them from going overboard.

The latest title in the franchise, Guilty Gear Strive, will release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on June 11, 2021. Arc System Works has also published a story trailer that gives a sneak peek of the game’s storyline. It will continue the stories from the Xrd games Sign and Revelator, both of which are currently viewable on ASW’s YouTube channel.
