Bandai Namco offered a new look at Gundam Rogue Orbit via a gameplay trailer that focuses on what it is like to take on a mission. It spends about three and a half minutes going through the step-by-step process that seems to start with picking up an assignment on the bridge of a ship then moving out to handle an altercation.
This in the Gundam Rogue Orbit gameplay trailer begin with Nazuna assigning the player character a mission near Mars. They want to land the Stellarvane there, but hostiles are around. It’s our job to get in the Gundam and fight the APCs there so we can safely land. From there, we get to see the Gundam in action and attacking opponents. For the example assignment, the task is straightforward. In the upper right corner, it reminds the player to “defeat all enemies in the area.” However, after that brief example, we see the MS Settings customization elements and how we can select the weapon, two AP Units, Thruster Unit, Module, and the Outer Frame’s head, torso, arms, and legs. As we do so, we’ll see the Generator limitations keeping ambitions restrained and the overall specs of the mech as a result of our choices.

While there is this new Gundam game coming out, there’s also an anime series tied to it. Back in July 2026, Bandai Namco revealed Gundam RG XARX-ZERO. That is set in the same universe, but will act as a prequel to help establish a background and new insights into the Apocalypse timeline. That only has a 2027 launch window at the moment, so it’s unknown if it could appear in the Winter 2026 anime season and set the stage for the title in January 2027, or if we’ll see it as a follow-up later next year.
Gundam Rogue Orbit will come to the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on March 5, 2027 worldwide.
