The last Half-Minute Hero game released was a PC version of the original Half-Minute Hero in late 2012. Since then, further word on the retro-inspired RPG series has been quiet, but it may not be that way forever.

The official Half-Minute Hero Twitter account recently tweeted the following on October 18th: “People wonder…what happened to the Hero….to which I say….patience is always rewarded….”

Suspecting that the tease might be connected to the Ran Ran Hero trademark we discovered, Siliconera got in touch with Marvelous AQL to ask if they could comment, and they did.

Half-Minute Hero PC version producer Esteban Salazar replied, “I can’t comment on that other than to say that it’s not Half Minute Hero 2 but you can quote me as saying that those holding out for HMH2 have an announcement to look forward to that is NOT RunRunYusha.”

We’ll keep our eyes peeled for any further Half-Minute Hero news.
