Naruto is pretty much acts as he does in Clash of Ninja 2. He can do a shadow clone uppercut by holding down on the control stick while pressing A on the remote and he has the same air juggle combo when you rapidly shake the remote. The main change is Naruto has three ougis: the Uzumaki Barrage, a feral Nine-tailed power combo and the rasengan when his HP gets in the red. When Naruto loses 60% of his life players can switch over to Nine-tailed Naruto and use a new series of attacks. While the Uzumaki Barrage implemented motion controls, Naruto’s Nine-Tailed ougi did not.
Sasuke is a fast fighter with a powerful fireball jutsu to attack from far away. At any time during a match players can activate his sharingan and switch Sasuke’s moves to include a counter where he teleports behind his opponent. Players expend a little bit of chakra when they activate the sharingan, but it’s the only way to activate Sasuke’s chidori technique. When Sasuke uses the chidori players can charge the attack’s power and then punch forward with the Wii remote to deal extra damage.
Sakura felt a strange to play with the Wii remote. In Naruto Shippuden: Geiktou Ninja Taisen EX she gets in your face with her monsterous strength, which is well represented by shaking the Wii remote. In Clash of Ninja Revolution she is a ranged character who uses a homing shuriken attack by holding down the A button. Her ougi has players shaking the Wii remote to her furious punching combo from the Chunnin exam arc.
Gaara is a slow, tank character who attacks best from a distance with his sand. He can throw Sand Shuriken by pressing A and make a surround sand wall by pressing down and A. Like Sakura, you’re not going to be shaking the remote as much as you would with Naruto or Sasuke. It’s better to keep your distance with Gaara and attack by splashing sand geysers. Gaara has two ougis, the Sand Burial and the partial Shukaku transformation where a giant arm crashes into the other player. So far only the Sand Burial uses motion control, similar to how only one of Gaara’s ougis used motion control in the Japanese game.
