Miiverse is Nintendo’s own take on a social network—one meant exclusively for games on its platforms. When a developer releases a game on the Nintendo 3DS or Wii U, it can work with Nintendo to create a Miiverse community for the game, where fans can talk, provide feedback, and post impressions of their experiences.
Depending on the game, some communities obviously get more use than others. Today, Nintendo released a list of the most popular searches made via Miiverse for games. The rankings were calculated based on worldwide activity for games that are available globally. Here’s how they panned out:
- Pokemon
- Mario
- Animal Crossing
- Super Smash Bros
- Zelda
- Monster Hunter
- Sonic
- Lego
- Call of Duty
- Tomodachi Life
The rankings are current as of the end of November. Games that are only available in a single region weren’t counted. If they were, I would imagine Yo-kai Watch (which is currently only available in Japan) would be present as well.
