Bandai Namco took to social media to share a number of insights into what’s new and changed in Tales of Eternia Remastered. Most of them are quality of life adjustments. However, there will also be a Boost Function to make things easier or more challenging and an Extreme Battle Difficulty in the Customize section of the options. The company also confirmed that, while playing, you can choose Original or Remastered Graphics Mode and SFX Mode for the appearance.

Some of the changes involve making it easier and faster to get around the world. Icons will appear on the overworld when traveling, letting you know if there’s a quest you should head toward or other point of interest. Run Mode will let you run through the world faster as well when on the map. During combat, Battle Fast Mode can be turned on to speed up fights. When healing from the menu, you will also be able to choose Full Recovery Using Skills, Full Recovery Using Items, Use Skills to Recover HP to 85% or More or Use Items to Recover HP to 85% or More.

And another focused on Battle Fast Mode.

As for the difficulty adjustments, it will be possible to make things easier or more challenging in Tales of Eternia Remastered. In the Customize menu, Extreme will be a difficulty available. That will be more challenging than both Normal and Hard. You could also turn Experience Acquisition and Gold Acquisition down to 0. If you want to make things easier, Encounters can be set to low or off, and someone could double or quadruple Experience Acquisition, Gold Acquisition, Damage, Attack Proficiency, and Cooking Proficiency.
