Heroes of Ruin’s Coral Tombs Used To Be An Ancient Graveyard

Square Enix will be bringing a new build of Heroes of Ruin to the Penny Arcade Expo this week, where they’ll show off a new area in the game, called the Coral Tombs:

The Coral Tombs were originally an ancient graveyard and was later laid to waste by the sea. In its current state, the area is a mix of wrecked ships, coral shoals and hidden buildings. It’s also populated by fish beast, giant crabs, and shark men. Loot can be found in the urns scattered about the caves and under the coral itself.

The camp above is one of the areas in the tombs. You can read more about the area’s design in this developer blog post, which gives some insight into its architecture and the objects strewn about, such as the makeshift chairs and tables, created using barrels and planks.
