The Forbes Japan 2026 30 under 30 list is in and includes a Hololive Vtuber from the Japanese branch, the mangaka (author) behind the manga and upcoming anime Kagurabachi, the idol group and rockers Babymetal, and an animator who’s worked on Vocaloid music videos in the past. Juufuutei Raden, Takeru Hokazono, Suzuka “Su-metal” Nakamoto, Moa “Moa-metal” Kikuchi, Momoko “Momo-metal” Okazaki, and Komugiko2000 all ended up highlighted on the official site for this year’s honorees.
Juufuutei Raden is part of the ReGLOSS group and generation is that part of Cover’s more idol and music-focused DEV_IS branch of the company. In addition to streaming and singing, she’s known for promoting museums and celebrating art. In one of her most recent streams and videos, she went with ReGloss for a Vlog at The National Gallery London. She even stars in her own nonogram puzzle game from Picross developer Jupiter called Juufuutei Raden’s Guide for Pixel Museum that’s available on the Switch, PS4, Xbox Series X, and PC.
Takeru Hokazono is the Forbes Japan 2026 30 under 30 mangaka behind the series Kagurabachi and has been working on the manga since September 2023. It became a Shonen Jump hit, and it won the 2024 Next Manga Awards. An anime is in the works and will air in 2027, and there is a World Tour for that which allows people at anime cons worldwide start to see part of the start of it.
Babymetal is an idol rock group that’s been around since 2010. They perform and have a fanbase worldwide. Their most recent album is Metal Forth, which came out worldwide in August 2025. However, we’ve heard more new music from the group since then, as they worked with Tatsuya Kitani on the song “Kasuka na Hana” for the anime Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku. We also saw a crossover between the group and Resident Evil for the Capcom series’ 30th anniversary.
Finally, the last notable Forbes Japan 2026 30 under 30 you might recognize is Komugiku2000, who is known for both art, anime, and animated music videos. One of their most recent animations was for the Kagamine Rin Noz. song “Sora o Tobu.” The creator’s Pop Quest exhibit is currently running in Tokyo, Japan until August 31, 2026. That show also includes a new manga called Ghost Teller.
