Honkai: Star Rail Twitter Countdown Event Announced

HoYoVerse announced another Honkai: Star Rail launch promotion, which is a Twitter countdown event. People who choose to participate can opt in to elements of their profile on the social media site changing every day until April 26, 2023. However, the offer is only open to standard users and not people who pay for Twitter Blue or are verified. In addition, people can also get the official imagery without taking part via HoYoLab updates. People can also register to possibly be picked for a “boarding call” phone call on launch day.

Here’s how to take part in the Honkai: Star Rail Twitter countdown event. First, HoYoVerse recommends saving your account’s current avatar, banner, and bio just in case. This is in the event an issue keeps that from being restored after April 26, 2023. Once that’s done, head to the official site and click the “Participate” button at the bottom of the page. HoYoVerse notes that, after doing so, a person’s avatar, banner, bio, location, and part of a person’s username will change each day if someone opts into the promotion. However, if someone’s name hit the character limit, it will not change. The company also noted, “We will not obtain your personal data, send messages, or perform any operations on your device.”

There are two ways to stop participating if you choose to. One is to visit the event page and select “Cancel” at the bottom of the page. Someone can also send a tweet that says “@honkaistarrail #ReturnToDepartureStation” to return to normal.

As for the images and banners, those will be updated each day on HoYoLab. There, people can get avatars, Twitter headers, and Facebook profile covers already released. The April 18, 2023 one involves the mascot character Pom Pom. That’s an NPC that acts as the Astral Express conductor.

There is another launch event running as well. People near Kinokuniya stores can pre-register there to get a Star Rail Pass, see a March 7th standee, and enter a contest.

The Honkai: Star Rail PC and mobile release date is April 26, 2023, and the Twitter countdown event will end that same day. It will also come to PlayStation consoles like the PS4 and PS5 sometime after.
