How Do I Obtain the Forge Blueprints in Atelier Yumia?

The first step is to obtain the “forge blueprints” from the Sivash Region pioneering effort. You will unlock the pioneering quests in this region once you have discovered the war over the nectar. If you haven’t reached this part of the campaign yet, just keep playing through the main storyline at a leisurely pace.

Once you have unlocked the pioneering effort, you will need to complete 30% of the tasks to obtain the forge blueprints. The quests in this region are more challenging than in the last. However, some are still relatively simple to complete, like synthesising a specific item or collecting ingredients in the wild, so you should have no problem reaching the 30% margin. Remember to visit Erhard to get the rewards you are owed when you reach a milestone percentage.

Now that you have unlocked the blueprint, you’re ready to create the forge back at a workbench. It will cost you the following materials to make the forge:

  • Wood 10
  • Powder 10
  • Iron 3
  • Stone 3

You should have plenty of wood, powder, iron and stone from collecting resources in the open terrain. You should place the forge in the building when you have created it. To do this, open up the shortcut wheel by pressing LB and then select “Building”. You will now have access to all the items you have created so far.

When you have placed the forge down, interact with it, and you will be presented with a list of all the equipment you currently have. This is where things get a bit ambiguous, as the guide for forging in the game will say you need “parts” to make the equipment more powerful. However, there is no specific definition of what is classified as a part when it comes to enhancing equipment.

You could approach this in several ways, like creating all the possible items on the recipe recall station until you find one. However, we have discovered a trick to identify if an item is a part. When you are at the recipe recall station, you will have a list of items you can create. On the fourth level of the item, it will state “Add Effect” if it’s a part. A good example is Primal Remains and Void Components, which are parts you can forge with your equipment. It’s worth making different parts, as they will increase different stat points.

It’s also possible to add multiple parts to the same piece of equipment to amp up its stats. Another thing worth noting is that the grade of the part you attach to the equipment will determine how much of a buff it will provide. Because of this, you will want to rebuild items to strengthen them before you forge them onto your equipment.
