While you will mainly focus on the melee attacks you use in combat, ranged attacks also play a large part in Atelier Yumia. Not only can you use ranged attacks in battles, but you can use Yumia’s sniper rifle to fire at rocks to gather materials and the like. This is why it is important to know how to get all ammo types in Atelier Yumia.

All Ammo Types in Atelier Yumia, Explained
There are four different types of ammo in total that you can find in this open-world JRPG. Here are all four of the different ammo types you can get and use:
- Regular Ammo
- Scan Ammo
- Burst Ammo
- Slicing Ammo
Regular Ammo and Scan Ammo are available right off the bat in the story. The former is the limited one you use to shoot at enemies to weaken them before battles, gather materials from afar, or even hit switches for puzzles. Scan Ammo, on the other hand, is limitless and lets you shoot enemies and other objects to find out more info about them like levels and materials.
Then Burst and Slicing Ammo are optional ones you can get from the Pioneering Efforts rewards. Burst blows up rocks while Slicing takes down cobwebs.

How to Get More Ammo
To get more of the four different ammo types in Atelier Yumia, you will have to craft them. Well, except for Scan Ammo, which is infinite. You can use Simple Synthesis anytime in the field for this, so you don’t have to go back to the Atelier every time you need more ammo. Here are the materials you need for the three craftable ammo types:
- Regular: 3 Iron
- Burst: 5 Iron, 3 Saltpeter
- Slicing: 5 Iron, 3 Powder
Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land is available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
