Final Fantasy XIV is back at it again with the annual winter holiday event known as the Starlight Celebration 2023. This year, the team is giving us a wonderful gift in the form of the FFXIV Starlight Celebration Unorthodox Saint’s Robe Santa Suit.
How do I start the Starlight Celebration?
Before you can even get the Santa Suit in FFXIV, you need to start the Starlight Celebration 2023 event. Keep in mind this event is only available until December 31, 2023. For this, there is a single requirement you must meet, and that is you must have a Disciple of War or Magic job class with level 15 or higher. Well, and you need to be able to reach Gridania, but that should be pretty easy.
Once you are ready, teleport or travel to New Gridania. The easiest way to get to the festivities is to teleport using the Gridania Aethernet to the Mih Khetto’s Amphitheatre Aetheryte. The stage at the amphitheatre is where you want to head, which is at around X: 10.2, Y: 9.4. Speak with the Bearded Lady in the Santa Suit onstage to start the Blue Starlight event quest.
How do I unlock the FFXIV Starlight Celebration Unorthodox Saint’s Robe Santa Suit?
Fortunately, it is quite easy to unlock the FFXIV Starlight Celebration Unorthodox Saint’s Robe Santa Suit. All you need to do is complete the Blue Starlight quest and you will get the outfit as a reward. This is a straightforward and linear quest with a few cutscenes, no fighting, and you’re done as you help a kid out for the holidays.
Once you finish all the objectives, return to the Bearded Lady to get your Santa Suit reward. There is an optional follow-up quest after this to see the heartwarming story to its conclusion and it actually requires you to wear the Starlight Robe outfit in full with its five pieces. But you are free to even customize this outfit, including dye it any color if you want like I did. After you finish the quest, you can even add it to your Glamour collection for easy access anytime.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. It will also release for the Xbox Series X sometime in Spring 2024.
