How to Get the FFXIV Phoenix Riser Armor and Helmet

Final Fantasy XIV is hosting its latest limited time event: the Moonfire Faire 2023 celebration. Some of the best rewards from that event are the Phoenix Riser armor and helmet, which lets you become a hero like a Power Ranger within this game. Here’s how to get both the Phoenix Riser items in FFXIV.

How to Complete the FFXIV Moonfire Faire 2023 Event and Get the Phoenix Riser Equipment

The only requirement for unlocking the FFXIV Phoenix Riser armor and helmet is to be at least level 30 with a Disciple of War or Magic job class. So long as you meet that requirement, all you need to do is head to the Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks near the Aftcastle Aetheryte.

Speak with Mayaru Moyaru at X:11.5, Y:13.8 and start the quest “Allergic to Sunshine.” This quest will lead you to Costa del Sol and you want to continue speaking with the NPCs until you complete that quest and start another known as “I am the Sunshine.”

This has a lot of cutscenes involved with it, but there isn’t much you actually have to do gameplay-wise. Complete this quest and you will earn the Phoenix Riser armor and helmet automatically as a reward for absolutely free.

This armor is level one so it can be used by anyone. Note that it is a full set of armor so you won’t be able to equip anything on your character’s body besides these two pieces when they are used. Fortunately, it can be used on any class, including even crafters and gatherers.

Perhaps the best part about this Kamen Rider-like armor set is that it is even able to be dyed. You can create a blue Power Ranger while your friends have a pink Ranger, green Ranger, and so on. Be sure to pick up this armor before the event ends on August 26, 2023, at 7:59 am PDT.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC, and will release for Xbox in 2024.
