Anyone versed in the Atelier series will know healing items are not something you simply buy from a shop. If you want to get your hands on these remedies, you must do it the old-fashioned way by crafting them. However, depending on whether you are healing inside or outside of battle will dictate which items you use. Here is how you can heal yourself in Atelier Yumia, no matter what pinch you find yourself in.

How Do I Heal Outside of Battle in Atelier Yumia?
There are quite a few ways to heal your team in Atelier Yumia. The simplest way is to visit the Atelier base or one of your buildings across the map. This action will automatically heal your entire team.
The next way is to create a bandage through a simple synthesis. You will probably rely on this method the most, as you can do this anywhere. Once you have visited the atelier base for the first time, you will be introduced to the basics of building and synthesising an item.
After completing this mini tutorial tied with the storyline, you can leave the atelier base, which will unlock the simple synthesis method. As the name implies, these are simpler syntheses that you can conduct anywhere on the map and do not require you to be at a synthesising altar.

To create the basic bandage, open up the shortcut wheel by pressing LB on the controller and select “simple synthesis”. The basic bandage recipe will automatically be unlocked, so you should see it in the list of potential items you can create. The basic bandage will require the following items:
- 2% Energy
- Fiber 5
- Water 3
You can grab all the necessary materials right outside the atelier building. Fibre is collected by picking up plants in the open environment. Interacting with the water well next to the atelier building is a quick way to obtain water. To replenish energy, you will need to visit an energy generator. One is conveniently next to the building, on the left-hand side.
If you want to use the basic bandage you have created, open the shortcut wheel but head to the “Exploration Bag” this time. Now select the basic bandage, and it will heal your team. Later, you can get better bandage recipes by completing tasks in the pioneering effort.
The other way to heal is by setting up a camp. We have already covered an in-depth guide about camping, but to give you the basic gist, once you have unlocked the pioneering effort, you can unlock a camp, which will replenish the entire team’s health.

How Do I Heal Inside a Battle in Atelier Yumia?
To heal inside a battle is done very differently, as it will require you to use specific items. The first step is to unlock the Woodland Remedy recipe. You will get this once you reach the part of the storyline where Yumia offers to help heal some soldiers. You can create the Woodland Remedy at the altar in the Atelier Base. The core ingredient for this recipe is the Tall Taun plant, which can easily be attained in the Ligneus Region.

Once you have created the Woodland Remedy, you will want to equip it onto your character so they can use it in battle. To do this, head to the main menu and enter “Strategy”. You will then be presented with the option to attach the Woodland Remedy to the equipment slot. To use the item in battle, hold down on the LT button and select the healing item you would like to use.
Just like the basic bandage, as you progress through the game, you will obtain better healing items that you can use in battle. You can also get items that revive fallen team members when they are KO’d in combat, like the revival bouquet.
