Like most games in the life-sim genre, Palia gives players the opportunity to start relationships with the characters in their village. This guide lists all the characters you can romance in Palia and how to date them.
How to Romance Villagers in Palia
The easiest way to romance villagers in Palia is by simple conversation. Even talking with characters idly allows you to raise your relationship with them. Another way to raise affection is to give characters the items that they’ve requested. When speaking to a villager, you can see what item a character wants by selecting the lowest button on the lower left-hand side of the dialogue box.
After reaching affection rank level 3, you can begin flirting with your villager. To raise their romance rank after you’ve begun your relationship, you will need to give them a Box of Chocolates, which can be purchased from Zeki’s shop or through Heardrop Lilys, found in Kilima. You can also romance more than one character. So don’t worry about feeling locked into any one villager. As of December 22, 2023, you cannot progress romances in Palia beyond flirting.

Keep in mind that the characters in this list are all available romance options as of December 22, 2023. However, developer Singularity 6 has mentioned in previous patch notes that more characters may be added to the list in the future.
