As you go through Pokemon Pokopia, you’ll sometimes hear a loud cry ring out, then see either a glowing Rainbow Feather or cyclone-covered Silver Feather in the distance. These are items you can collect and give to Gimmighoul in Rocky Ridges. However, acquiring them and bringing them to the treasure hunter can get a bit tricky.

Your Ditto needs to know two moves to collect both of these types of feathers, but both are learned early on in the game. The Rainbow Feather is golden and glowing, while the Silver Feather looks like it has a tornado coming out of it. To collect the former, you must use Water Gun on the feather to cool it off. The latter can be collected once you use Cut to cut through the winds to reach it. Both can stack in your inventory, so you don’t need to worry about them taking up space.

Once you unlock access to Rocky Ridges by finishing the Withered Wasteland area and reaching Great Trainer Rank, the questline will eventually lead to you breaking down some rocks in what’s essentially the side of a volcano. While this is where you meet DJ Rotom, following the cart tracks will lead you to the ruins of a museum. Inside, Gimmighoul lives. You can trade appraised large Lost Relics, Rainbow Feathers, and Silver Feathers with the character in Pokemon Pokopia for other items.

The Rainbow and Silver Feathers trades are random, unlike the ones you can do for Honey for characters like Vespiquen. You offer up a feather, Gimmighoul decides what random piece of furniture you get, and you’re all set.

Pokemon Pokopia is available for the Switch 2.
