Hyrule Warriors Ships 1 Million Units Worldwide

Hyrule Warriors, the amalgamation of the Legend of Zelda and Warriors franchises, has shipped 1 million units globally on Nintendo’s Wii U console, Koei Tecmo have announced.

 

The vast majority of that shipment is presumably from the U.S., where Hyrule Warriors sold 190,000 units in its first week. In Japan, the game saw a far slower debut, selling just 100,000 units in its first full month. Meanwhile, no sales data from Europe is available.

 

Koei Tecmo have been releasing downloadable content for Hyrule Warriors, too. The next DLC pack for the game will be released on February 5th.

 

Food for thought:

Given past trends, it wouldn’t be surprising in the slightest to see Koei Tecmo port Hyrule Warriors to the New Nintendo 3DS.
