Inti Creates and Comcept are experimenting with an online race mode for Mighty No. 9, which may or may not end up being included in its current form in the game’s final build.

Comcept’s Keiji Inafune and Inti’s Takuya Aizu showed the mode off during a panel at PAX Prime this past weekend, and pointed out that this feature is to be considered a rough idea that may end up being different in the final game.

What you see during the video is Aizu controlling one character and Inafune controlling another. During the panel, Inafune joked that Aizu sucked at the online races, but Aizu retorted that he was just being a polite and letting his boss win.

Mighty No. 9 is in development for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.
