Square Enix introduced Sephiroth to the roster of Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis. While obtaining him comes at no cost, I feel he comes at something of a disadvantage compared other characters. This is mostly due to the weapons he released alongside. Some may be wondering if it’s worth leveling up Sephiroth in FFVII Ever Crisis for this reason. Well, it might be worth it even with that knowledge.
Is it worth leveling up Sephiroth in FFVII Ever Crisis
Since you can level up characters fairly easily in FFVII Ever Crisis, either through Enhancement Quests or assigning them to do Chocobo Expeditions, it doesn’t hurt to invest into Sephiroth, even if it’s passively. Additionally, if you did end up rolling on either of his banners, be it the premium currency one or the standard currency one, and obtained decent weapons for him, you should level him up. This is especially true for new players who may not have enough five-star weapons for their characters when starting the game.
But really, I think it doesn’t hurt to level Sephiroth up, since leveling up a character requires absolutely no real investment outside of time and Stamina. If you do end up using Stamina, it will help unlock Sephiroth’s second Limit Break. That can be useful if you do decide to use him at a later date.
Ultimately, it’s up for you to decide. Since I took a short break from FFVII Ever Crisis and saved all of my Blue Gems, I ended up rolling on his banner and managed to get a decent amount of five-star weapons and some duplicates. Because of this, he’s my strongest character. So I’ve taken to leveling him. But he’s still no Tifa, for example. So until some better weapons roll around for him, don’t expect to get much out of his performance.
